ONE of my old time favorites foods in the world is back in season and that is getting me really excited. The return of the white truffle season is heralded as one of Italy’s favorites as people around the world enjoy its gifts — such as the world famous Alba truffles.
One of restaurants you can have a taste of this incredible product is at Biscotti restaurant in Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. The promotion will run at least through year end and likely into the middle of January 2017, depending on the natural growing season of the truffles.
Growing exclusively in Alba, Northern Italy, the white truffle grows underground and is only available for three months of the year. Renowned for its particular flavor, it is often referred to as white gold. This exclusive promotion will introduce Bangkok diners and all their visitors from around the world to the exquisite taste through a series of delectable dishes prepared by our Italian Chef Daniele Bettini.
Discover the fine flavors of the white truffle at the award-winning Biscotti restaurant. From mid-November, a special Degustation and a la carte menu will premiere, featuring a variety of inspirational dishes with the unique truffle.
The a la carte and Degustation menus will feature dishes such as Tartar di Manzo, a Beef Tartar with Quail Eggs and Alba Truffle along with sumptuous seafood, pasta like homemade Tagliolino with porcini mushrooms and served with shaved truffles on top, and meat dishes that showcase this superb treat. A selection of fine wines will be offered in the promotion, to complement each dish.
Biscotti opens daily: lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
